Job Description of Senior Cybersecurity Specialist
✅ Dicetek is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist in Abu Dhabi to help protect critical financial-sector environments from an evolving threat landscape. You will lead detection, investigation and response, strengthen security architecture, and keep the organisation aligned with UAE and international regulatory standards. This is a hands-on role with real influence over how clients defend their data, systems and reputation.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Cybersecurity Specialist
✅ Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar or Sentinel).
✅ Lead incident response, from containment and eradication through to root-cause analysis and reporting.
✅ Conduct proactive threat hunting and build detection use cases mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.
✅ Investigate malware and perform digital forensics and log analysis.
✅ Manage SOAR and EDR/XDR tooling, and automate workflows with Python or PowerShell.
✅ Run vulnerability management, coordinate penetration tests and drive remediation to closure.
✅ Contribute to security architecture across IAM/PAM, network security, Azure/AWS cloud security and DevSecOps.
✅ Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, UAE Information Assurance Standards, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS and SWIFT CSP.
✅ Report on security posture and risk to stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
Qualification Required for Senior Cybersecurity Specialist
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree
✅ Experience:
✅ 8+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ years in banking or financial services
✅ Hands-on experience with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar or Sentinel), alert triage, threat hunting and incident response
✅ Strong knowledge of SOAR, EDR/XDR, malware investigation and MITRE ATT&CK
✅ Experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination and security remediation
✅ Knowledge of security architecture, IAM/PAM, network security, Azure/AWS cloud security and DevSecOps
✅ Familiarity with Python/PowerShell, log analysis, detection engineering and digital forensics
✅ Strong understanding of CBUAE regulations, UAE Information Assurance Standards, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS and SWIFT CSP
✅ Certification (at least one required): CISSP, CISM or OSCP
✅ Preferred: UAE/GCC banking experience
