Job Description of Executive - Retail (Supply Planner)
✅ Ready to keep shelves full and customers happy? As a Supply Planner (Executive – Retail), you’ll play a key role in making sure the right products are in the right stores at the right time, with a focus on the Nursery Furniture category.
✅ You’ll turn sales data and demand trends into smart allocation and replenishment decisions, working across Buying, Merchandising, Warehouse, Logistics and Retail Operations to keep inventory flowing smoothly. It’s an analytical, collaborative role that directly affects store availability, sales performance and the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities of Executive - Retail (Supply Planner)
✅ Inventory Allocation & Replenishment
✅ Manage store-wise stock allocation and replenishment for the Nursery Furniture category based on demand, sales trends and stock availability.
✅ Ensure optimal stock distribution from the warehouse to stores, considering store capacity, sales potential and product assortment.
✅ Monitor stock levels and proactively identify replenishment needs to avoid stock-outs and overstock.
✅ Manage allocation of new product launches, seasonal collections and promotional merchandise.
✅ Demand & Supply Planning
✅ Analyse historical sales, current stock levels and demand patterns to build effective inventory plans.
✅ Coordinate with Buying, Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely stock availability.
✅ Monitor supplier lead times and inbound shipments to support accurate replenishment planning.
✅ Identify slow-moving, non-moving and excess inventory, and recommend stock redistribution strategies.
✅ Sales & Inventory Analysis
✅ Track key inventory KPIs, including stock cover, sell-through, stock ageing, availability and inventory turnover.
✅ Prepare regular reports on stock movement, allocation efficiency and replenishment performance.
✅ Analyse store-wise sales performance and recommend inventory transfers to optimise stock utilisation.
✅ Support seasonal and promotional planning through inventory forecasting and allocation.
✅ Stakeholder Management
✅ Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Warehouse, Logistics and Retail Operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
✅ Coordinate with store teams to resolve stock availability issues and fulfil replenishment requirements.
✅ Provide regular updates on inventory risks, supply constraints and stock-related challenges.
Qualification Required for Executive - Retail (Supply Planner)
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field (preferred).
✅ Experience
✅ 2–5 years of relevant experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Allocation or Replenishment within the retail industry.
✅ UAE retail market experience is mandatory.
✅ Prior experience managing allocation and replenishment for Nursery Furniture, Furniture, Home or Baby Products is highly preferred.
✅ Skills
✅ Strong understanding of retail inventory management, demand planning, store replenishment and stock distribution.
✅ Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
✅ Experience with ERP systems and retail inventory management tools.
✅ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales, stock and demand trends.
✅ Working knowledge of inventory planning metrics such as Stock Cover, Sell-through, Stock Turnover and Ageing.
