Key Responsibilities of Medical Records Coder
✅ Review patient records and clinical documentation to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
✅ Apply UAE healthcare coding standards, guidelines, and regulations
✅ Ensure coding accuracy and completeness to support proper claims submission and reimbursement
✅ Query physicians or clinical staff when documentation is unclear or incomplete
✅ Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of patient health information
✅ Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and claim denials related to coding
✅ Keep up to date with changes in coding rules, payer requirements, and regulatory standards
Qualification Required for Medical Records Coder
✅ Education
✅ Bachelor’s degree
✅ Experience
✅ Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility
✅ Certification and Skills
✅ Valid CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification
✅ Knowledge of medical coding, medical records, and healthcare documentation
✅ Familiarity with UAE healthcare coding standards and regulations
✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
