Job Description of Senior Planning Engineer
Key Responsibilities of Senior Planning Engineer
✅ Develop, maintain, and update baseline programmes and detailed schedules in Primavera P6 for major building construction projects.
✅ Resource-load programmes and track planned versus actual progress.
✅ Monitor progress across RCC structures, foundations, substructure, and superstructure works.
✅ Prepare recovery schedules and propose mitigation measures when slippage occurs.
✅ Perform critical path analysis to identify risks and priorities.
✅ Carry out delay analysis and prepare supporting documentation for Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
✅ Produce regular progress reports and present them to project management and stakeholders.
✅ Coordinate with construction, engineering, and project management teams to keep programme data accurate and aligned with site conditions.
Qualification Required for Senior Planning Engineer
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
✅ Minimum 8–10 years of planning experience on major building construction projects
✅ Strong experience in RCC structures, foundations, substructure, and superstructure works
✅ UAE airport construction experience is highly preferred
✅ Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including baseline programmes, resource loading, progress monitoring, and recovery schedules
✅ Expertise in critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT claims, and progress reporting
✅ Proven ability to coordinate with construction, engineering, and project management teams
