Job Description of Document Controller (DC)
✅ We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team in Dubai. In this role you will be the backbone of project information management. You will make sure every drawing, submittal and piece of correspondence is accurately recorded, version-controlled and easy to find. On large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, well-managed documentation keeps teams aligned, supports compliance and helps deliver on schedule.

Key Responsibilities of Document Controller (DC)
✅ Manage the full document control lifecycle: receiving, registering, distributing, filing and archiving project documents
✅ Operate and maintain the project’s EDMS and Aconex platforms, keeping records accurate and up to date
✅ Handle technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and revisions, ensuring only current versions are in use
✅ Track and process submittals, transmittals and approvals with consultants, clients and subcontractors
✅ Manage project correspondence, including incoming and outgoing letters, RFIs and meeting minutes
✅ Maintain document registers, logs and status reports, and flag overdue or missing items
✅ Apply company and project document control procedures and naming conventions consistently
✅ Coordinate with engineers, project managers and site teams to meet documentation requirements
✅ Support audits and handover by preparing complete, organized project records
Qualification Required for Document Controller (DC)
✅ Education
✅ Bachelor’s Degree
✅ Experience
✅ 1+ year of relevant experience in large-scale construction, building and infrastructure projects
✅ Experience handling technical documentation, drawings, submittals and project correspondence
✅ Previous experience on airport or other major UAE construction projects is an advantage
✅ Skills
✅ Strong knowledge of document control procedures
✅ Proficiency with EDMS and Aconex
✅ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
✅ Clear written and verbal communication
