“Purpose is the reason you journey. Passion is the fire that lights your way through it.”
Before we get into that, one question that precedes is what made you think that you do need to find one.
Is it because you feel you’re stuck in some dead-end job? Or perhaps you’re over the years, and you’re just plain sick of the mundane life you live? Whatever the reason, you absolutely need to find some purpose and passion for what you are about to do.
Embrace Right Perspective
Often the best counselling you can get is your own self. You are the only person in the world to know everything good and bad about you. So, reward yourself with a positive talk (read “PEP”). Having the right perspective would help you decide in the correct way.
Clear out all the thoughts in your head and stop bothering about the “What Ifs’?” Get ready for the next step, and take distance from any negative source.
Do What You Love
If you want to get somewhere, you first need to start walking and take the first step. Follow your curiosity.
Look out for what drives you, and your question of how to find your passion is answered. Passion is that thing you keep on doing unrelentingly even when there are challenges encountered while accomplishing the goals set.
Identify Hobby vs. Profitable Passion
- After saying that you want to pursue what you love, it is time to be realistic. Always hold the mirror clear before yourself that only having passion is not enough.
There are two things that hold importance:
Am I good enough to do it?
Does it pay enough for your sustenance independently?
The above two points need to be addressed because there is a difference between a hobby and a passion.
A hobby is a pastime where you do the same thing occasionally to relax your mind for a short period. Passion is the one that brings you to do the same thing each day; it is the thing you do with intensity.
This chance brings you one chance to live a passion for making it into the profession. Most people can have many hobbies. However, only one cannot possibly have passion for everything in one’s life. There would simply be something that arouses you more than the rest.
For some, reading or collecting comic books may be a hobby, but only a few of them can distinguish between a really good comic book and say publishing one. So, find your true passion and stop confusing hobbies with a passion.
Quit talking and start doing
What you want to do should be clarified first. The key is then to begin planning and start discovering all the things you love to do and the resources that are in hand.
How far can you brave yourself and what are the major changes you need to undergo? Be clear about your life purpose. More than anything else at the end of the day, it’s a satisfaction. Money has much less to do with it.
Create something that would be an action plan with fixed goals. As and when you start doing, you start observing results gradually. It does not only help to strengthen your morale but also gives you direction.
Do what you do best. Your work will fill a large part of your life. The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
Never quit trying
Find your passion and it’s no longer work!
Discovering what you really want to do and the process to reach there is very exhausting. There might be times that you start wondering why you risked making a decision.
In the face of trials, you absolutely need to be focused and motivated. Remove all the distractions and clear out the mind clutter.
Execute Passion Test
Once you identify your passion it is required to give yourself a free trial period. Then you should be ready for the outcome, to win and lose subsequently.
Take time for yourself. Align Your Goals With Your Life Purpose. You shall surely succeed.
Conclusion
Love what you do & if you haven’t found it yet, Keep Looking. Come what may do not settle for anything less than you deserve.
Pursue what excites you and fulfill your Passion!
