Job Description of Scrum Master
Key Responsibilities of Scrum Master
✅ Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
✅ Coach and train teams and individuals in agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
✅ Identify and remove impediments to keep delivery on track
✅ Lead meetings and workshops at multiple organizational levels using advanced facilitation techniques
✅ Plan, track, and report on project progress using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Project
✅ Manage collaboration and documentation through Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Confluence
✅ Partner with engineering teams to promote CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices
✅ Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders and leadership
✅ Support digital transformation and product development initiatives with a focus on value delivery
Qualification Required for Scrum Master
✅ Education
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
✅ Experience
✅ Minimum 8 years in IT/product development, including 4+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in digital engineering environments
✅ 2+ years coaching and training individuals or engineering teams in agile practices
✅ Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple organizational levels
✅ 4+ years using project tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Project Online, etc.) and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence)
✅ 3+ years of practical experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and modern engineering practices
✅ Skills and Certifications
✅ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project (3+ years of hands-on use)
✅ Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
✅ Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I/II) required
✅ SAFe certification preferred
✅ Nice to Have
✅ Consulting experience in digital transformation, digital engineering, product development, or enterprise technology programs
