Job Description of Cost Controller
Key Responsibilities of Cost Controller
✅ Monitor and control costs across all departments to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
✅ Analyze cost variances and prepare regular reports for management review.
✅ Maintain and update cost databases, including pricing and inventory records.
✅ Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to implement cost-saving strategies.
✅ Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
✅ Review supplier invoices, contracts, and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance.
✅ Identify potential areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
✅ Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
Qualification Required for Cost Controller
✅ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✅ Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cost control or accounting roles.
✅ Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
✅ Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
✅ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
✅ Prior experience in the consumer services or retail industry is an advantage.
