Job Description of Senior Manager - Platform SDLC Engineers
Key Responsibilities of Senior Manager - Platform SDLC Engineers
✅ Lead the DevSecOps and secure SDLC strategy, and drive its adoption across engineering teams
✅ Develop and maintain secure SDLC standards and reusable pipeline controls
✅ Secure CI/CD pipelines and implement policy-as-code to enforce guardrails automatically
✅ Integrate and manage security testing across the pipeline, including SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, and IaC security
✅ Secure cloud-native platforms, with a focus on Kubernetes environments
✅ Define and implement risk-based release gates, and track remediation to closure
✅ Build adoption and compliance dashboards that give leadership clear visibility
✅ Collect security control evidence and produce governance and compliance reports
✅ Lead and mentor platform engineers, and partner with stakeholders to deliver on time
Qualification Required for Senior Manager - Platform SDLC Engineers
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
✅ Relevant experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or application security (minimum 1+ year as stated; see note below)
✅ Proven DevSecOps and secure SDLC leadership
✅ Strong knowledge of CI/CD security and policy-as-code
✅ Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes
✅ Working knowledge of SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets management, and IaC security
✅ Experience producing security control evidence and governance reporting
✅ Strong stakeholder management and delivery leadership skills
✅ CISSP, CCSP, or a cloud security or DevSecOps certification
