Job Description of General Accountant

✅ We are looking for a meticulous and proactive General Accountant to join our finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting business operations with timely reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities of General Accountant

✅ Prepare, examine, and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
✅ Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
✅ Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
✅ Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
✅ Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
✅ Generate and analyze financial reports to assist management decision-making.
✅ Ensure timely tax filings, VAT returns, and compliance with local financial regulations.
✅ Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed.

Qualification Required for General Accountant

✅ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
✅ Experience: Minimum 1+ year of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
✅ Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
✅ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
✅ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
✅ Prior experience in the consumer services or retail industry is a plus.
